Diocesan Council
With 40 years of activity in Genoa, it gathers 15 religious congregations and related institutions. It works with minors who have been separated from their families by the Minors’ Court and can be considered as the most impactful organization for the help it provides in this kind of deep distress situations. The associations connected to it are spread all over Italy, and some of them have been carrying out their charity work for over 100 years.
Auxilium Foundation
The Auxilium Foundation is an ecclesiastic organization of the Church of Genoa under the patronage of the Diocesan Caritas. Axilium offers help to people in temporary or permanent need in the city of Genoa, today in particular homeless or foreign people, refugees, asylum seekers, people with HIV/AIDS, victims of prostitution, families in need. Its mission is to support the full promotion of human dignity, following the teachings of the Gospel and the Christian social doctrine.
Farsi Prossimo Consortium
The work of the Consortium aims at making its associated cooperatives living and qualified voices in their communities, always drawing new inspiration from its founding values: teaching by actions, as shown by the Ambrosian Caritas, participation, and the mutual support typical for social cooperation.
Muvita Foundation
A non-profit foundation deeply rooted in the province of Genoa. It works side by side with the provincial administration to implement policies concerning energy efficiency and saving, use of renewable sources, and management of participative projects about the main environmental issues. It realized more than 30 Action Plans for Sustainable Energy for as many Italian municipalities, in addition to an Energy and Environment Port Plan.
